Gail Brovenizer
President
Gail is the current President of Baby Massage Ireland and has been passionate about working with Babies since she took the first training in Dublin in 2002. The very first meeting for Baby Massage Ireland took place straight after the training where she became the newsletter coordinator and has tried to be as active with Baby Massage Ireland since. In 2010 she became an International Trainer with the IAIM and has taught trainings in Ireland, the UK and Australia and is training up new instructors in Poland the Canada later this year. In 2022 Gail was elected to the CTC (Committee for Trainer Candidates) and now is one of 3 Consultant Trainers that train new International Trainers around the world. Gail also runs Complete Harmony a company that specialises in supporting new parents as they begin their journey into Parenthood teaching pregnancy and baby classes, and also has products for the IAIM CIMIs and parents. Gail is the parent of twin girls aged 26 (the reason she does what she does) one dog and 3 cats who all keep her very busy and when she is not teaching or training you can find her marathon training, watching rugby or travelling! We are so lucky to have Gail as our president and officially welcome her to the team!
Melanie Murphy
Membership Secretary & Treasurer
Melanie is the friendly face behind member support at BMI – helping new & experienced CIMIs with queries, group set-ups, advertising tips, social media guidance & more 🙌 She also keeps our membership listings up-to-date ✅ and looks after BMI’s finances 💶 Since 2014, Melanie has been sharing the magic of baby massage with families across North Dublin 👶💞 running 5-week groups & one-to-ones in community halls, domestic violence refuges, international protection accommodation centres & homeless hubs. She’s also Baby Massage Coordinator with Preparing for Life in Darndale, plus a facilitator of Triple P Parenting, Circle of Security & “Building Babies from Head to Toe”. 🌱 All while being an active member of the Dublin North East Infant Mental Health Group 🍼💡 Melanie’s mission? 💕 To support parents & caregivers in building strong, loving bonds with their babies – in safe, supportive, and non-judgmental spaces.
Mary Beth Flett
Vice President
Mary Beth Flett is a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) and current Vice President of Baby Massage Ireland, the Irish chapter of the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM). Since certifying in 2007, Mary Beth has been delivering baby massage courses to families across South Dublin, combining deep knowledge of infant development with a passion for parent-child connection. Mary Beth’s work extends far beyond baby massage. She holds multiple certifications in touch and movement based practices. She also designs and facilitates school wellbeing workshops, incorporating calming techniques and yoga-based movement for Mental Health Awareness Weeks and other wellbeing initiatives. Her background in community outreach includes five years as a Community Mother with the HSE (2009–2015), offering parenting support to new families with a focus on child development, nutrition, health, and education from birth to age two. She has also worked in family resource centres and conducted accessible programmes for underserved families, including house calls for newborn massage instruction. As founder of Hush Baby Massage, she has contributed expert advice through articles published in EU Mom, Cuidiú, and Pregnancy & Parenting Magazine. She has also spoken at parenting events and health-focused gatherings hosted by organisations including the HSE, Salesforce, Mamas & Papas Dundrum, Boots Pharmacy, and the Pregnancy & Baby Fair (RDS). A mother of three, Mary Beth brings warmth, empathy, and real-life experience to all her classes and workshops. Her holistic approach supports families from birth through adolescence, always focusing on connection, confidence, and accessible wellness practices. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, reading, gardening, cooking, interior design, and organising events for family and friends. We look forward to seeing all Mary has to offer!
Edwina Deegan
Newsletter Co-Ordinator
Edwina Deegan is a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) and passionate advocate for nurturing early parent-child relationships. Based in Kildare, Edwina has been delivering baby massage courses since 2018 in West Dublin, drawing on her deep expertise in infant development and attachment. She currently serves as Newsletter Coordinator and one of the Leinster Peer Mentors for Baby Massage Ireland, where she’s helping launch a new IAIM Ireland newsletter to strengthen peer connection and professional development across the country. Beyond her work in infant massage, Edwina holds a broad range of certifications in parenting, trauma-informed care, antenatal/postnatal support, and infant mental health. Her practice is rooted in empathy, empowerment, and evidence-based approaches to support families from the very beginning. In 2023, Edwina had a poster presentation of her master’s research at the World Association for Infant Mental Health Congress in Dublin, showcasing her home-visiting work with Blue Skies Initiative and its impact on building relational capacity in new parents. She is also actively involved in national advocacy efforts. Edwina contributed to the Prevention and Early Intervention Network (PEIN) position paper ‘Holding the child’s hand in prevention and early intervention for children and families’. She also sits on the Perinatal Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health group, which develops impactful campaigns for Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week each year.
Lorraine Egan
Social Media Co-Ordinator
Lorraine Egan social media co- ordinator. Lorraine is a qualified maseusse sense 2015 with 10 years of experience. She is the owner of The Serenity suite based in mallow and offers a wide range of treatments. Lorraine qualified as an infant massage instructor in 2022 and a well being for mothers and babies instructor in 2023. Lorraine adores working with babies and is a mother herself. She is the face behind the baby massage Ireland Instagram and Facebook page! You may also remember her crawling around taking photos at last years conference!

Vanessa Kilcullen
Website Co-Ordinator
Vanessa is a qualified infant CIMI since 2022 and has been running baby massage classes for both mums and dads in a warm, supportive environment. A paediatric nurse with over 14 years experience and a mum of 4, Vanessa brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to her sessions.
She also runs essential first aid courses for parents, grandparents, equipping families with life-saving skills. Passionate about holistic support, Vanessa works closely with professionals in sleep, nutrition, pre and postnatal fitness, personal development, matrescence, psychology, and more- connecting parents with trusted experts in every area of early parenting.
Vanessa also serves as Website manager on the board, where she helps ensure clear communication and accessible resources for families.
